Dan Battersby, owner of Fishes Cafe, has been a resident of Straddie for over 12 years. Having lived and worked here for such a long period of time, Dan has made many friends both personally and in business. "Straddie is a great island community with everyone looking out for each other." says Dan. "You've only got to check out the Straddie Sharks home games to see evidence of that. We are proud to sponsor the Straddie Sharks under 13's this year after supporting them as Under 12's. We hope our support will help these kids to continue to live the healthy Straddie lifestyle."

The boys bought training shirts with the sponsorship and always turned out well before, during and after the games. A special thanks to their coach Doug Burgess, Manager Kylie Manteufel and Assistants Pixie Shearwin and Corey Parkin.
